Officially Back as A Mommy Again

After a long hiatus from blogging , here I am again

Back with more stuff and stories to share!

Recently as everyone had known, last year I gave birth to a healthy, bouncing baby boy. His name is Ethan Jared.

So last Sept 13, 2018 , since it is his 10th month, we decided to instead celebrate in the mall.

I brought along Nanay to help me since he dramatically have grown heavier ( imagine he's already almodt 13kilos !!l). I can't imagine going out without Nanay.

So on our first stop, we decided to bring in the play area. But maybe he is not the usual kind of baby that gets giddly over playstuff ..he cried and cried. After all how can we blame the little baby, he is just used to being at home and watch Baby Tv all the time. My fault partly because, I got traumatized when Ethan got hospitalized on his 3rd month with Pneumonia, so of course just like any other moms ,I would rather just let him play inside.

But now that he is almost turning 1 year old this coming Nov. 13, 2018, I think these are best times to let him go out.

On my next blogs, I will be most like share with you on our birthday preps for him.

Having Ethan is like going back to the first time I became a mother to my eldest LJ.  Well that is normal, my 2 older sons are already 14 and 13 while Etham is just 10months.

Being a mom again has change my life and has turned my life a little bit crazier ( in a good light).

But one thing I know, HE IS A BLESSING AND HE IS THE ONLY THING I HAVE IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.

Hope to see fellow mommies like me share their thoughts about their kids ..

And I hope I could share a lot of the things that I do with my baby again!

Your Favorite Ventriloquist "Kuya Mau " Joined It's Showtime's PINASIKAT !

When I was younger , I love it when my mom would tell me that I got an invitation from one of my kiddie friends. Birthday parties for me means- Food, Games, prizes and of course a Magic Show.

Just like any other kid, I would be more than  willing to go back to my seat when the magician ushers us because it means half hour to an hour time full of laughter and priceless kiddie entertainment.

I work on a 3am-12nn shift. Oh by the way your resident blogger here is a technical support agent already and it has always been my routine to watch "It's Showtime" (ABS-CBN noontime show which airs 12:30am -3pm)



When I clicked on my tv , a familiar face has caught my attention. During that time the segment is PINASIKAT- It's Showtime's newest talent segment which caters to Filipinos with Amazing talent and never-before-seen acts.

Guess who was at my tv screen strutting his act -- KUYA MAU. For those who's not familiar with his name "Kuya Mau" but very familiar with his acts, Kuya Mau is one of the sought-after Magician, Ventriloquist, Puppeteer, Party-Host

Kuya Mau is very well-known to be among the best when it comes to providing children with educational entertainment. I am so glad to see Filipino ingenuity being shown on a local talent show. It means that you dont always have to do random dangerous acts just to so people will appreciate your talent. It amazes me as well that our audience now what real entertainment is. It is also a nice practice since the younger audience will not define talent just by a one dangerous act. The New Media nowadays plays a big role on how it will mold our future citizens so it is really best that as early as now that we should be able to let our kids know what are the different kinds of entertainment.

Last year we were able to get Kuya Mau's services and pretty much we can say that it' s really worth getting him as our finale for my nephew's party.

Tado Jimenez Confirmed Dead in Bus Accident Up North

Known Comedian, artist and LimiTado store owner, also known as Arvin Jimenez in real life is confirmed dead today. Tado is one of the 14 passengers confirmed dead in the bus accident.

We went to Culili Point Sand Dunes to try the Extreme 4x4 ride challenge. Tado even tried the Sand Surfing here. 

The bus Florida which came from the Sampaloc Terminal is bound for Benguet. 

According to reports, the bus driver told the police that cause of the mishap was that its brakes lost control and fell over the cliff.

I was really shocked upon learning the incident because me and tado (along with his family) went to a 3-day Laoag-Pagudpud-Vigan trip two weeks ago. 

Tado is also a fellow alumni of Polytechnic University of the Philippines , wherein I studied MassCommunication.

Tado is survived by his wife and 4 daughters.

Again, our country lost another "artist" and advocate.

The 7th birthday of my niece is coming up! Normally here in the Philippines, the 1st & 7th birthdays are the one we focus the most. So I was tasked to find a magician for her upcoming party. Of course, I seek the help of our old trusty best friend, Google. A quick search of magician philippines on the search tab, revealed a lot of results.

One of them is Maurice Kuya Mau Supetran popularly known as Kuya Mau. I first saw him on a Facebook friend's photo album, so I'm quite familiar with him already. According to his Facebook profile, he's not just a magician but also an expert ventriloquist and an experienced puppet master. Kuya Mau is also a member of a popular magician group here in the Philippines, MAGFI (The Magicians Foundation Incorporated.)

Kuya Mau's puppet show consists of six characters Lolo, Momoy, Spongebob, Barney, Shorty the Orangutan and Teo the Jazzman. This is perfect for my niece' birthday since most of her guest are kids around her age. I'm sure they will never get bored with this puppet shows. Aside from the characters mentioned above, another crowd favorite is his puppet, Maui the Ostrich. Can't wait to see it live.

Energizer Philippines Donates P2M To Rehabilitate Homes of Yolanda Victims

4 Best Reasons Why I want to be a SYKESYERS

As people with different standards we often have thoughts on why a certain thing rocks or why it stands out among the rest. Yes and I do have that same standards in mind.

Just to share with you, a few years back when I was on a “job-hunt”, the BPO industry then was on its early-booming stage. I went to a call-center company which was located at Quezon City. I applied there because I passed their initial interview so the next phase was to go to their office and undergo a series of tests/exams to see if I’ll get hired as a “Customer .. . Evrything went well in the few hours as I passed their 13 kinds of exams and the simulation test. The next and determining part was their final interview. I was kind of feeling confident and positive at that time since I said to myself that I never get to decline to any job I have previously applied. At the final interview I was asked about what are my dreams and etc. I said to myself that, “Wow these are pretty simple questions”. But after a few minutes I was called back my interviewer and was told I didn’t get the job. I felt so down that time. Who wouldn’t?

After that experience I said, I will never apply again in aBPO-related company. It was a trauma for me-YES!

And just like anyone who has a bad experience, things has changed. How and when? That was until I attended the SYKES Year-End Celebration2013 Party last December 15,2013 at SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia.

The party was attended by roughly 9,000 ++ employees of SYKES PHILIPPINES. I was even glad to meet the it’s very nice Vice President for Operations, Mr. Dean Van Ormer.

I have felt the sincerity in Mr. Dean Van Omer’s words as he spoke of it. Most of the time what drives most of the employees to work hard is that knowing your company believes in what you are doing. Sometimes it’s not about how much you will be earning from your work. Money does not always play a deciding part if you are not going to work harder or not. For me it’s all about being commended for what you have always worked hard. So hearing a big boss like that of Mr. Dean Van Ormer speak of how he lauded their employees being passionate of their work is one big boost for his employees to even work harder. And that is one of the Top 4 reasons why I think Sykes Philippines is still growing in numbers in terms of manpower.

The second reason is that they continue to expand- one proof is the newly open site, SYKES Glorietta. Sykes Glorietta is the first call-center that offers highly supportive facilities from the lighting, chairs and etc, making it more conducive for their employees to work at.

The 3^rd “most” rocking reason for me why SYKES Philippines is still one of the best BPO Companies here in the Philippines is the fact that raised and donated 2 Million pesos to help rebuild the affected provinces of Tacloban and Samar. It was actually a small amount compared to other donations but it still helped a lot. For a multinational company to donate and raised awareness in its employees is enough to know that they are really a company not just after the profits.

The 4^th reason is that SYKES Philippines recently awarded its 200 employees for their loyalty and commitment, in which 7 of it were their employees for already 15 years. The 193 employees were on their 10^th year as “SYKESYERS”.

These are just of the many reasons I found why I suddenly wanted to work in a call-center again despite the “trauma” I had a few years. After all there’s no harm in trying my luck again.

The SYKES YEAR END Party 2013 was a blast. Six mainstream bands performed that night including show-opener, UP DHARMA DOWN, GINILING FESTIVAL, KAMIKAZEE, EBE DANCEl and ITCHY WORMS. The party was hosted by seasoned and dashing host Drew Arellano and model/host Kat Alano.

The party did not just stopped with its MUSIC FEST and over-flowing food and drinks, SYKES PHILIPPINES also raffled to their top referrers a MITSUBISHI MIRAGE. My "Fast and the Furious" Crush Paul Walker Dies

Indeed, the first day of December 2013 is not all that happy for the "Fast and Furious" fans out there and most especially me. 

The "Fast and Furious" cast Paul Walker dies in a car crash today in California at the age of 40.

I fell in love with Paul Walker with his role as he was so dashing in the movie "The Fast and Furious". I love his role there as someone who would go along way and prove to everybody his love for his girl.

As i write this blog, I'm on verge of tears. I cannot imagine that i won't see him anymore in the future Fast and Furious movies.

It was also heart-breaking for us Filipinos because according to news he is on his way to a charity event held for the typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan victims here in the Philippines.
