PureFoods FunStuff Nuggets To Perk Your Kid's Appetite
I won't be ashamed to admit but I also have one choosy kid when it comes to eating. He just eats what is "appealing" to him. He doesn't like pasta most especially if it's in red sauce. He only likes "sitaw" every time I cook sinigang. He only likes "potatoes" whenever I cook "nilaga". He seldom eats meat. That's my problem- I don't think it is a "balanced" diet.

Del Monte Kitchenomics is back with Eugene Domingo and celebrity Chef Dino
I'm a sucker for yummy and delish foods but one of my aspirations ever since I was a kid, is to be a "chef". Yep, you heard it right! I want to be a chef.
As far as I can remember whenever me and my mom would do our weekly grocery, I always scan grocery items like Del Monte Pineapple tidbits or slices for recipes. During that time, you just need to peel off the "nutritional content" covering of the canned items and you will see a featured recipe from Del Monte Kitchenomics. That was so way, way back..lol!
Pardon my sudden trip to memory lane. I know I just have to share it. My "quest" for collecting those recipes even evolve when Del Monte Kitchenomics started their endeavor from way back 1986 by providing wonderful meal solutions to the Filipino consumers by creating Del Monte Kitchenomics' own cooking show.
The show's goal is to provide viewers most especially the moms with nutritious, budget-friendly and easy-to-do recipes. As we all know our lifestyle have also evolved and moms like me also has other errands to do, making cooking such a pain. Thanks to Del Monte Kitchenomics innovative and nutritive recipes because preparing delicious for my family is not an ordeal anymore.
The recipes that they innovate are all easy to follow making less prep-time for people and moms who are always on the go!
Great news for those who want them back because you got it- ANSWERED PRAYER! Del Monte Kitchenomics Club cooking show is back with multi-awarded Actress Eugene "Uge" Domingo and Celebrity Chef Dino Ferrari as hosts.
Chef Dino was trained in the Philippines and in France as well. For this season according to Susie Aquino Senior Brand Manager of Del Monte, "We made our show even more appetizing for your viewing pleasure. We'll take our viewers to different places coz we want them to enjoy our cooking adventures".
I hope all of you guys will catch their prime episode starting February 13, 2013, every Wednesday and Saturday before Eat Bulaga and Sunday after AHA! on GMA 7 . For more information please visit www.delmonte.ph/kitchenomics and like them on Facebook www.facebook.com/Delmontekitchenomics
Aside from getting excited about Del Monte Kitchenomics's comeback show, I did got a chance to have my photo taken with Eugene Domingo and Chef Dino Ferrari.

Korean specialties From CHEF'S NOODLES for the Pinoy palate
From Kpop to kimchi,
anything Korean is definitely hot right now. This is why it’s not surprising
that a lot of Korean restaurants have started to grow all over the country.
While it usually caters to Korean expats who’ve already made the Philippines
their home, Pinoy foodies who have already developed a taste for
Korean dishes have also been frequenting such places to get their fix of
kimchi, bibimbap, and so many mouthwatering Korean specialties.
Chef’s Noodle Philippines
With that in
mind, Simisim Group of Companies is proud to present Chef’s
Noodle, a popular fast-casual Korean restaurant, which is set to make waves in
the Philippines.
Having acquired the master
franchise of Chef’s Noodle, the company already has big plans for the hip, new
dining outlet, already partnering with popular Korean expats, like model/TV
personality/DJ Grace Lee and Korean celebrity Chef Choi In Sun to be
its local endorsers.
For its grand launch, held at
University Mall along Taft Avenue (Chef’s Noodle’s first branch in the
country), both Chef Choi In Sun and Grace Lee were present to show
their support for the brand and of course, promote all the delicious Korean
fare that they have to offer.
With a great range of Korean
specialties that ranges from the traditional menu items that are unique to the
restaurant, Chef’s Noodle definitely has something delicious for everyone.
Delicious, hearty, Korean
specialties
From the restaurant’s signature
dish, aptly named, “Chef’s Noodle” (freshly-made Korean noodles with beef,
anchovy broth topped with leeks, bean sprouts, fried tofu, spring onion, red
pepper, egg roll, and bulgogi) , the restaurant is also proud to
serve hearty portions of appetizers, rice and noodle dishes. Take a look
at some of the yummy treats that Chef’s Noodle has in store, bibimbap (traditional
Korean steamed rice with seasoned vegetables, beef, and egg), bulgogi leek jun (deep
fried bacon sliced beef with leeks mixed eggs and seasoned vegetables),bibim noodle (Korean
spicy cold noodle mixed with sweet and sour blend sauce topped with egg roll,
bean sprouts, andbulgogi), bulgogi leek kimbap (seaweed
rice rolls with beef and leeks), curry dupbap (or
curry donburi warm rice topped with beef curry and seasoned
vegetables), jjampong (spicy Korean seafood ramen), and so much
more.
It’s also interesting to note that
Chef Choi In Sun had a hand in developing some of Chef’s Noodle’s
mouthwatering specialties, something that should make your visit to the
restaurant even more exciting.
Expansion in the Philippines
Given its timely entry in the
Philippine market, Chef’s Noodle Philippines has also
considered venturing in offering franchising opportunities for Filipinos.
Relying on the brand’s good reputation and a strong and efficient support
system from Chef’s Noodle Korea,
the local management behind the franchise is very confident that they’ll be a
great partner to their local franchisees.
Chef’s Noodle Philippines is very
excited about its plans of expanding nationwide, provided that it
offers a good business model, especially for startup businesses, interested
parties who want to share the best of Korean fast-casual dining to the rest of
the country wouldn’t have a hard time setting up their very own Chef’s Noodle
franchise in their hometown.
Through rapid expansion especially
through major malls and other commercial establishments, Chef’s Noodle will
become more accessible to anyone who has an appetite for delicious, hearty, and
reasonably-priced Korean dishes. Doesn’t matter whether you’re
into Kpop or not, savor and enjoy the taste of what the hype on
Korean food is all about by visiting Chef’s Noodle’s first-ever branch in the
Philippines.
Chef's Noodle is located at
the 2/F University Mall, Taft
Avenue. For more details and updates on
upcoming branches visit www.chefsnoodlephils.com
and like their page http://www.facebook.com/chefsnoodlephils.

SM CITY San Lazaro 3-Day Sale Shopping and MORE
As promised, I am sharing my Day 1 of the SM City San Lazaro 3-Day Sale Madness. I am one LRT ride away from SM San Lazaro. This community mall won my heart because of its quaint and positive-looking facade that never fails to give me positive vibes when ever I visit it.
Of course, as always I failed to shop during the 10-12nn special discount offer for SMAC cardholders during its first day. I overslept, that's the reason, but surely that's no reason for me to wake up and bond with my fellow bloggers who's up and ready for a whole day of fun mall-hopping and shopping at SM City San Lazaro.
My shopping pals that day was Rain of (www.raindeocampo.wordress.com), Michelle Coladilla (www.galmourmoments.net), Ayzee (www.chilipinay.blogspot.com), and Azrael (www.azraelsmerryland.blogspot.com).
I was so glad I did my shopping and mall hopping with this group of awesome peeps, though I apologized for being so late.
Anyways, here's how we started our SM CITY SAN LAZARO mall-hopping and and food-trip.
Because they waited too long, It will be a great pep for us to start it all with a "late" lunch, and we all agreed to eat at Wendy's!
We all agreed that we missed Wendy's so much, that we all have the same wish after eating--Please bring back the SALAD BAR!!!
What we ordered is way different if you are Wendy's fan. Since Wendy's Real Meal Deals were the new offerings of Wendy's; we all agreed to order Beef Steak and and the Spring Rolls.

CRUNCHY SPRING ROLLS (Php49 only).
Taste the difference between the other spring rolls in the market and you will see the "difference".

BEEF STEAK
1pc( Php49)
2pc (P69)
These are not your ordinary Beef Steak! The patties used here are the same patties used for their burgers.
These are just two of the many Wendy's Real Meal Deals! You can now enjoy meals that starts at a minimum of Php49 and if you an additional 12oz Coke drink, all you need is add Php10. Need not to worry, because here are the remaining Wendy's Real Meal deals: Chili Con Carne Rice, Spaghetti, and Macaroni Side Salad.
After "reminiscing" those 'ol memories with their salad, me and the rest of the gang decided what SM CITY San Lazaro has to offer for their 3-Day Sale!
OUR HOME, SM Dept. Store concentrated retail of Home fixtures and accents is having their 50% off Great Sale -SOFA SALE.
This comfy yet minimal in design-kind-of-sofa will have to patiently waiting in my bucket list for the meantime. We've just moved on to a new house and have to give up our old and bigger sofa, so this one has to wait till we have new house to move in.
But looking at how comfy and warm the hues of these "pillows" (if I'm not mistaken) which you can sit while watching TV in the den, is definitely a must-have for someone like me who has penchant for watching TV a lot.
SOFA-Hopping can be fun but for people who are "innately" lucky will find this yummy moon-cake game more fun!
It's officially "Happy Mooncake Festival" today at all SM SUPERMALLS, so Mooncake fans..
Grab these yummy mooncakes and bring as "pasalubongs" to your family!
Wondering what was long lines for? Is Papa Chen or Sir Chief, gracing the MoonCake Festival?
Nope! Everyone's trying their luck with the "dice-game". You can play this with a minimum purchase of Php500 and be ready to win prizes!
Everyone's busy in the Main Atrium of the mall, not just to win some moon cakes?!? But also to win some.........
3 Yamaha Mio Fino will be raffled off to 3 lucky shoppers. One just have to shop minimum of Php1,000 to avail of the raffle stub. Awesome!

The SM Department Store
With my experience in 3-day sales like this, SM CITY SAN LAZARO, was so far the highest and with the most wide-ranged when it comes to items on sale! So on their next 3-Day Sale , I hope I'll be losing more weight so that even the nice tees or blouses on sale will suit me!
After that feet-gobbling mall trip, it's time to pamper ourselves at BEAUTY and BUTTER. That day till Sept.30, 2012 Beauty and Butter will be having 10% off for every service the shoppers will avail.
Beauty and Butter was previously located at the 2nd Floor but now it is strategically located at the lower ground to join other beauty and wellness-offering services.
I chose to have my mani-pedi service and I'm glad (the girl in front of me)my Nail technician was very accommodating. And did I tell you that I "fancy" their hairbands!
This how my nail art looked like. I'm a bit unhappy on how it looked because it isn't the same with the sample nail art. But just the same I wanted to give my nail tech an "A" for effort.
That afternoon wouldn't be same without ending it with something "sweet" and tummy filling! We ended the day with piping-hot bibingka from Antonio's Bibingka+Coffee.

Stacker's Burger Cafe: Now Offers Healthier Alternative through Their New BAKED CHICKEN
Chicken has been part of the Filipino menu and with all the
chicken dishes, it was the “Fried
Chicken” who always becomes the winner in every occasion that we celebrate.
But not all fried is good. Nowadays it is best that we avoid
foods that are fried. We should always find healthy ways to cook our food so
that we could lessen the risk of getting “lifestyle” diseases.
Good thing I discovered a new restaurant that serves “Baked
Fried Chicken”. This breakthrough
chicken masterpiece was first launched at the recently held Franchise Asia
Philippines 2012 Expo held at SMX Convention Center Pasay City.
Stackers Burger Café was already a looker whenever me and my
family visit Eastwood City in Libis, Q.C., so it was actually my first time to
eat here last week when they invited us bloggers to have a taste of their
newest-food concept, the “Baked Fried Chicken”.
My other favorite besides The BAKED CHICKEN, another way for kids to eat FISH
My other favorite besides The BAKED CHICKEN, another way for kids to eat FISH
The brain behind this newest food concept is Mr. Bryan Tiu,
the founding owner of Teriyaki Boy before he sold 70% of it to Pancake House
Group in 2005. He is a prime restaurateur with several known brands under his
I-Foods.Inc like Tokyo Café, Peri-Peri Chicken and Kogi Bulgogi.
Months after of careful research of I-Foods Inc. research
and development team, Stackers’ has came up with the Baked fried Chicken with
80% less oil so it’s lighter and health-conscious food lovers who loves to eat fried chicken.
The BAKED FRIED CHICKEN is available through BFC RICE MEALS
(1pc w/ Rice Php95, 2pc w/Rice Php155), while you can also grab and take these
to your families through 3pcs (Php205), 6pcs. (Php395), 12pcs (Php778), Jumbo
15pcs (Php970), Party 30pcs (Php1,900).
Stackers Burger Café “dares us to compare” their new Baked
Fried Chicken and taste the difference.

Chuck's Deli: Home of SLABWICHES and More!
I thank God for Eastwood Malls because they are one of those
malls me and my family go to when we want something new. And indeed it never
fails me with that thought because one of their tenants, CHUCK’s DELI has more
to offer than its “red and white” interiors.
Aside from being “rice” lovers , our family loves to eat
sandwiches too. As a matter of fact, we can finish a whole loaf with any
filling in it.
If you are going to take a peek from just the outside of it,
you would say that, “Ah it only serve sandwiches”. But you got to pay it a
visit and try their yummy sandwiches to say they are just more than a “sandwich store”.
A visit last night, proved me wrong. CHUCK’S DELI offers more than their famous sandwiches! Chuck’s Deli is owned by Marco Alcantara and
Katrina Kuhn-Alcantara. The birth of Chuck’s Deli began with Marco, who grow up
in the States, was craving for sandwiches. So with that , Chuck’s Deli opened
its first branch at Serendra The Fort last Novemver 20110 and later on at
Chuck’s Deli Eastwood Mall last May 2011.
To prove to you how much Chuck’s Deli’s is way far different
from their contemporaries, they are known for their “SLABWICHES” (short for
slab of sandwiches). As a matter of fact
they have 14 varieties of Slabwiches, 6 Subwiches, 5 Ground & Pounders, 2
Panini, 4 Oh My Greens , Soothing Soups , Chasers and Quenchers and more!
Of course I wouldn’t be saying these much about Chuck’s Deli
if I haven’t tried their SLABWICHES. We tried one of their bestsellers, the
HAMSOME THREESOME!
The HAMSOME THREESOME is
a sumptuous combination of York Ham, Mortadella Ham, and Smoked cooked
ham with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato,
cucumber and chuck’s sauce.
Honestly, when I saw it served at our table, I was totally clueless as to how a person could eat this by himself? I was mentally calculating how many people can share this. Well actually, if me and my 2 kids will order this, it's just enough. But I don't know with my eldest. Lj, my eldest son has a huge appetite for an 8 yr.old kid. Maybe after having his first bite of Chuck's Deli 's Slabwich, I know he'll always tag me to eat at Chuck's Deli.
My experience eating the Hamsome Threesome is awesome! I’d like to say that I am satisfied with how big it is. One whole serving can be shared with 2 people more but I think if you became a fan of it , you’ll find 1 more partner to help you finish it or WORST- you'll hate to have it shared with someone else (GREEDY!)
If you like to try other varieties of it, try the other slabwiches I listed for your reference:
Aside from the big and yummy serving of slabwiches, Chuck's Deli is happy to announce that they are now officially serving FLAT BREAD PIZZAS.
FLAT BREAD PIZZAS are my sure-fire substitute for those pizzas with huge amounts of dough. Flat Bread Pizzas are made of home-made bread, flattened then topped with homemade cream sauce.
I don't wanna do these to you guys but drool with the photos, it's free :)
But before plunging into these awesome food,I would suggest that you also try their Potato Chips. Its homemade and my personal favorite for an appetizer!
I love potatoes, that's why when they offered their Potato Chips as appetizer, I know they couldn't help but noticed that I had the bowl of Potato chips right in front of me. They have Spicy Garlic Sauce and Garlic Sauce to go with Potato Chips.
Wondering if what drinks will go well their Slabwiches and Flatbread Pizzas? I suggest that you try their Power Shake. Power Shake is a combination of Lettuce, Apple and Orange. It's so refreshing that you will sip it from the start and wondering why you emptied it fast. For the sweet-toothed friends, you may try their Oreo MilkShake. What makes it different from the other Milkshakes? It's not the Oreo my friends! It the brand of ice cream that they use. The owner Katrina Kuhn Alcantara is from the Arce clan which brought Arce Dairy in the ice cream business. Arce Dairy Ice Cream is known for its creaminess, making it great for milkshakes.
I think I need to end this though... I'm craving for another SLABWICH fix! I'm off to eastwood after this post to have my slabwich fix at Chuck's Deli Eastwood.

Their SLABWICHES are also healthy because they bake their own
breads and this is the owner's way of telling the people how passionate they are when it comes to food. They wanna make sure that every penny that their loyal customers spends is worth every cent.
