Jenni Epperson's Fashion + Food Book Launch

Last March 3,2012 I was invited to launch of Jenni Epperson’s Book Launch entitled “….

My only “online” encounters with Jenni Epperson is when I heard she is nominated for the Best Lifestyle Blog Award for NUFFNANG Blog Awards. During that time, her name already has recall to me in terms of Fashion and her being a Fashion Stylist. But it really never appealed to me that she is also into food.

Most of my entries in my blog were about my love for FOOD. So I can feel there’s a “connection” and Jenni’s flair for Fashion. So what entices me to cover the launch is how she was able to write about Food and Fashion at the same time. Food and Fashion are two different aspects and so for her to incorporate those 2 is altogether AMAZING plus the fact that she never gets fat out of blogging about FOOD and can wear any outfit and look FAB at the SAME TIME.

 Sometimes those are the things that puzzles me. But good thing she was able to incorporate and share what she knows about Food and Fashion in one amazing BOOK. Sorry Jenni , I might be boring u with a lot of the word “amazing” appearing all the time here in my post. I can be redundant sometimes most especially if someone or something amazes me. Come on (note to self) MOVE ON, hahaha!

Coming back about Jenni Epperson’s book, I can feel that she is a god storyteller the way she talks about her book during its launch. I can feel her passion and happiness sharing what she loves doing and putting it all into words and in a BOOK. And congratulations Jenni you have that rare gift ( making other people listen to what one says)

I’m happy to see her avid followers even buying the book, it just goes out to show that she has a following and her readers really support her. 

After launch, I felt I became a fan of her (oh gosh “ Me Already”) ! I’m gonna save up for her book and even promote it to my other friends. It is a must-have most especially for those people (like ME) who doesn’t really know sometimes what to dress in a certain event, what to prepare for a sudden guest who’s coming to your house, and how to incorporate FOOD with FASHION.

And by the way I fell in love with Jenni as a person, but I also got “more” in love with her shoes that day!

So for a book that costs Php1,100, definitely a STEAL..compared with all the ideas you can get from Jenni's book ..it's nothing ! Buy It before it runs out from your favorite National Bookstore Branches near you!

The individuals included in this book are all members of KAYA NATIN! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership.

The people featured in the book are KAYA NATIN! Co-founders Jesse Robredo, Grace Padaca , Ed “Among” Panlilio, former mayor Sonia Lorenzo (San Isidro, Nueva Ecija), sen. Teofisto Guingona III, Rep. Teodoro Baguilat Jr. (Ifugao), Rep. Bolet Banal (3^rd Dist. Of Q.C.), former councilor Mabel Sunga-Acosta (Davao City), Mayor Roque versoza Jr. (Tagudin, Ilocos Sur) and Board member Shirlyn Macasarte (Cotobato).


The objective of this book is to tell the people that there are still leaders in the government who take pride in doing what is just and fair. In my opinion this book will be a positive eye-opener to some of the pessimists who thinks that some people are out to run for a specific public office and do their corrupt activities.

Being a part of this book launch is an honor for me too, because of the people featured in this book is Rep. Bolet Banal III  of Dist.3 Q.C. By the way I am a proud constituent of District 3 where in he is A representative. I even voted him in the last May 2010 elections.

Kudos to the editors of this book for their effort, time and passion in putting up a good book. Future leaders may it be on the government and non-government will find lessons and relevance in this book.

Faith Mission Book 1: A Book Beyond Words

Last April 14, 2011, Faith Mission Book 1 was officially launched. The Author Mr. Archimedes Fontanos Penara  recalled to us how he has gone into writing this book. He was the eldest child and because his father died , he was left of the big responsibility to look after his younger siblings.Through his perseverance and hard work he was able to send his siblings to school. He has woven unforgetable memories because of his roller. Whis great faith , his wife was given a second chance to live . He had dreams , He dreamt about God. Mostly about the Mathematical proofs about god. He couldn't believe that He was chosen to be awakened. With many proofs presented to him through his dreams, he decided to carry on with the task of spreading the word.

Then maybe you're wondering why how did the author himself get this book to be published? With the help Of Dr. Evangeline Manaois Macaso , at present she was the Dean of College and VP for Academics and Administration in San Ildefonso College. She was also a memeber of several organizations involved in religious activities. She was responsible in introducing Mr. Archimedes Penara to Mrs. Jovita Diaz-Aquino , who was the Publisher of Book Craft Publishing Co.Inc.

I recommend this book especially now that Lent is near, you can read this book while you're on "Visita Iglesia". Let this book guide you towards meditation of what your purpose in life is.
