My "Fast and the Furious" Crush Paul Walker Dies

Indeed, the first day of December 2013 is not all that happy for the "Fast and Furious" fans out there and most especially me.

The "Fast and Furious" cast Paul Walker dies in a car crash today in California at the age of 40.

I fell in love with Paul Walker with his role as he was so dashing in the movie "The Fast and Furious". I love his role there as someone who would go along way and prove to everybody his love for his girl.

As i write this blog, I'm on verge of tears. I cannot imagine that i won't see him anymore in the future Fast and Furious movies.

It was also heart-breaking for us Filipinos because according to news he is on his way to a charity event held for the typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan victims here in the Philippines.

Paul Walker -You are forever LOVED!!!

To his family and loved ones...

He will be forever in our hearts....

For the meantime, will watch his movies and cry :(

Movie ALert: THOR The Dark World on Oct. 30, 2013

Lately I've been swamped with a lot of things in mind. Work, Family and etc. That I don't have time anymore to bond with my kids. Lately my kids have been telling me that they wanted to watch the upcoming Marvel movie "Thor: The Dark World. Yes been hearing this movie from their mouths for almost a month and they can't wait to troop to the nearest movie house.

And just like any doting mom, I'll give in to their whims but I told them to promise that they'll have good grades this 2nd quarter or else , no movie!!! So that was what we agreed upon.

And because this is quite awesome for the family, I'm planning to watch it somewhere they have never been to. And what great timing it is, PMCM EVENTS MANAGEMENT is having a Special Block Screening of THOR:The DARK WORLD this coming Oct 30, 2013 at SHANGRI-LA MALL Edsa Plaza 9pm.

I have personally watched a movie here at Shangri-La Mall Cinema, and I find it very comfy and spacious here to watch. It is a nice movie house where one can sit back, relax and watch a movie.

I chose to watch it through PMCM EVENTS MANAGEMENT Special Block Screening because I get to reserve our seats by just texting the contact person and I'm guaranteed of our seats. This means that no more hassle in lining up to get our tickets and going early to watch.

And from the feedback of the previous satisfied moviegoers, with the price of Php550 per ticket, you get a drink and popcorn and lots of freebies + raffle prizes from its generous sponsors. So that was so worth my money : Reserve seating, free drink and popcorn plus freebies!!!!

So who else is going, might as well reserve your tickets via the contact number printed on the poster above so you'll have the chance to get your choice of seats.

Tom Cruise Again Stars in the Upcoming Movie "OBLIVION

In 2073, a 37 year-old former-Marine Commander Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed at Earth which was nearly destroyed by an alien invasion 60 years ago. As part of a massive operation to extract the planet's remaining vital resources, he lives in an airborne "town" floating thousands of meters above the Earth.

His mission nearly complete, Jack's soaring existence comes crashing down when he rescues a 22 year-old female stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a series of events that forces Jack to question everything he knows about the war and its aftermath. In addition, after being captured by an insurgency led by 102 year-old Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman), Jack is told that the society in which he lives may in fact be a police state.

Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion, an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.

Tom Cruise had expressed interest in the film for a considerable period of time, and officially committed to it on May 20, 2011.

For casting one of the lead roles opposite Cruise, the producers considered five actresses: Jessica Chastain, Olivia Wilde, Brit Marling, Noomi Rapace and Olga Kurylenko, and all five auditioned on August 27, 2011. It was subsequently announced that Chastain would play one of the film's two female leads. In January 2012 Chastain entered into talks for a part in the Kathryn Bigelow film Zero Dark Thirty and subsequently dropped out of Oblivion contention. It was later announced that the role had been given to Kurylenko.
For the other leading role, the producers initially considered Hayley Atwell, Diane Kruger and Kate Beckinsale. The three actors traveled to Pittsburgh to screen-test with Cruise, who was filming Jack Reacher. The role finally went to Andrea Riseborough. Melissa Leo was cast at a later date.
Production began on March 12, 2012 and wrapped on July 14, 2012. Filming locations included Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana. Oblivion, shot in stunning digital 4K resolution on location across the United States and Iceland,  is an upcoming 2013 science fiction film based on the Radical Comics graphic novel Oblivion by Joseph Kosinski and directed and co-produced by Kosinski.

Oblivion is a Universal Pictures presentation. It is distributed by United International Pictures through Solar Entertainment Corporation. Coming soon at your favorite theaters and cinemas this April.

Paranormal Activity 4 Coming Soon This November 2012

It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, and a suburban family witnesses strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in.

Alex (Kathryn Newton) films her younger brother Wyatt's soccer match. At Alex's house, she shows her boyfriend Ben (Matt Shively) the treehouse in the garden. Here they discover Robbie, the neighbor's child. Puzzled with why he is here, she takes him back to his own house across the road. In the early hours of the next morning, Alex hears an ambulance outside at Robbie's house. The next day Robbie turns up at the house after Alex's mom Holly (Alexondra Lee) offered to look after him for a few days because his mother went into the hospital.

Later on in the day Alex finds Wyatt and Robbie in her treehouse talking to Robbie's invisible friend. In the evening Wyatt is playing multi-player on the Kinect by himself with Robbie sitting on the sofa.
Ben asks who Wyatt is playing with and Robbie tells him it's his friend. When Alex arrives in the lounge Ben turns the lights off in the lounge and shows Wyatt through the camera the infra-red tracking dots. As Alex, Ben and Wyatt dance in the dark and Robbie sits on the sofa, the camera picks up something moving on the sofa next to him.

Stranger things unfold in the following days leading to more horrifying experiences in Alex’s life. Watch how the paranormal activity ends.

The thriller movie stars Katie Featherston, Kathryn Newton, Matt Shively, Alexondra Lee , Sprague Grayden, Brady Allen, and Aiden Lovekamp.

MOVIES2WATCH: This GuyIn Love With You Mare!

What do you expect if the movies stars Vice Ganda, The Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano? Expect tons of laughter!

I've been a fan of Toni Gonzaga's films even before and she never fails to plant a smile on my face whenever I watch her onscreen.

Toni Gonzaga plays the role of "Gemma", who's being pursued here by Lucky Manzano who once had a relationship with the character of Vice Ganda in the movie.  With Vice Ganda's heart broken, he gets by courting Gemma, and with Gemma falling in love with Vice's character too.

Toni was asked during the blogger's con, what are the challenges she encountered during the movie. She said that it was being in focus during the shoot because everyone in the set is having fun, that there are no dull moments during the set.

More about the Blogger's conference here on my SocialCam account, click here.

Be sure to hit the movie theaters, and be prepared to laugh fro start to finish of the movie!

THIS GUY'S IN LOVE WITH YOU MARE hits the theaters on Oct 10, 2012!

MOVIES2WATCH: JUST ONE SUMMER opens on AUGUST 15, 2012

I know I'm way past for teeny-weeny movies but there's this one movie I'm looking forward to watch! Yes! I know a lot people are just as excited as I am (di'ba Weng)!

I have met and heard Julie Ann San Jose sing in an event at Tomas Morato, wherein she was also a judge. At that event she sung "SUPER BASS' by Nicki Minaj, and I must say she sing the song much better than Nicki Minaj.

After that I was looking forward seeing her perform every Sunday at Party Pilipinas and the admiration lives on till I got to meet her during the Pictorial shoot for her first movie with Elmo Magalona, "Just One Summer".

Just One Summer is a movie about a story of two people finding each other and finding their own selves in one summer.

Daniel Cuaresma, Jr  (played by Elmo Magalona) is a rich boy fresh from highschool. Dahil only son ng isang doktorang may-ari ng isang ospital sa Maynila, pangarap din niyang maging doktor. And he is close to reaching this dream, dahil natanggap siya sa isang med school abroad for college. Handa na ang lahat—his passport, visa, pati tutuluyan sa states. Isa na lang ang problema—ang parental consent. Wala pa kasing pirma ang daddy niya. His dad has only one condition for Daniel before he signs – he wants his son to spend summer with him. Simple lang kung tutuusin. But not for Daniel. He hates his dad. He has hated him eversince he left their family and went back to the province to take care of his farm.  Kaya naman spending time with his dad, during his last summer in the country, is the last thing on his mind. Pero wala siyang magawa. Kailangan niya ang pirma ng ama.

Si Beto naman, ang probinsyanang kababata ni Nyel, ay magka-college na rin. Unlike Nyel, her family doesn’t have all the finances dahil hindi naman sila mayaman.

Pero habang tumatagal, mahihirapan si Beto dahil masama ang ugali ni Nyel—not because he is really bad, but because he’s acting up, dahil nga galit siya sa ama.

But somewhere along the way, magbabago ang lahat.

With everything that’s going on, will this summer still have a happy ending? This is the story of…
a wounded, teenage boy forced to spend time with the father he so hates…
A father who wants to reconnect with a son who has shut him out of his life…
And a clueless, provincial lass who will make it all a bit easier simply by being inlove and by being loved by the boy…
Three changed lives…in just one summer.

Well, my decision? WILL WATCH IT! I'm sure many #JULIELMO fans will be happy see their idolks making good music together, and what more in a MOVIE.

Aside from the fans who will be happy for this upcoming movie, alot of teenagers like them will learn alot of lessons. Lessons on why we shouldn't keep secrets with our family....That we shouldn't keep grudges from our love ones. That isn't good to keep grudges from your family because at the end of it all ..your FAMILY  will always be there for you no matter what.

Guys get ready as the movie Just One Summer will be having its premier night on Monday Agust 13, 2012. But for those who cannot make it..there'll be lots of chances to watch it at your fave cinema near you as it open s on August 15, 2012!!!

For the mean time feats your eyes on the photos I got when we visited Just One Summer's last shooting day in Subic.

O' Diba naka- cut si Direk nyan...pero nka holding hands parin!

Movies2Watch: The Bourne Legacy: Rachel Weiss Speaks

When moviegoers see a seemingly terrified Rachel Weisz in the action-filled movie “The Bourne Legacy” with lead star Jeremy Renner, they will realize it was not just acting. Rachel Weisz herself reveals that she will never forget the stunts that were mostly done by Renner and herself in Manila.

“The stunts were the challenge. There are a lot in the film. In Manila, we have this huge chase scene on a motorcycle and Jeremy and I did most of it. We drove through that city and jumped over bridges and crashed into buses,” said Weisz in an e-mailed statement sent through United International Pictures.

When interviewed and asked about her own ‘legacy’, she replied, “Beyond my child, I cannot think of anything. I am sure there will be some movies on DVD that might be a ‘legacy.’ Hopefully my carbon footprint won’t be too big.” Weisz also remembered the park in San Andres, Manila that she sponsored for the children there to have fun in. She reminisced, “We filmed in a disadvantaged area of Manila and I funded a playground for the kids there. They had no resources there to do it themselves. I actually wanted to call it ‘The Bourne Legacy’, but we couldn’t for legal reasons. Is that a legacy?”

Rachel Weisz admits she was really terrified making the “Bourne Legacy” chase sequence in Manila. She said, “I just had to hold on [tight]. I don’t drive. It was terrifying.”

The 42-year-old actress revealed that she and Renner made 99 percent of the stunts. Weisz continued, “I would say about 99 percent of the time Jeremy and I were doing the stunts. Jeremy is a really good rider. He is just very physically adept at stunts. He is agile and fluid and beautiful to watch. I felt safe with him. We practiced for a couple of weeks in a big parking lot.”

During the shoot, the actress felt the very physical demands of the stunts. Rachel said, “ You need a lot of takes and your body starts to rebel. You do get some aches and pains. I did something to my elbow while we were running through the streets of Manila. I jammed it and it still sort of hurts. Sometimes you have to look completely desperate and after take thirty, you don’t have to act anymore because you are feeling that way.”

Weisz described the realistic events in the movie. Rachel commented, “Sometimes when you watch a film, you see action scenes and car crashes and you just know it is fake. Here we are on the streets of Manila, on this bike, going fast. Audiences can see that this was really happening.”

Weisz finally describes her character in the film, “My role was a realistic journey about someone who has never had to fight for her life. Marta has always been in a lab doing things with test tubes and she suddenly has to learn to fight. She is not a super hero. She is a real person who has to fight for her life.”

While filming “The Bourne Legacy” in Manila, Weisz’s hubby Daniel Craig, who played the famous Agent 007 James Bond in a couple of movies, visited her. Weisz said that she prudently divorces her career and her personal life to obtain balance in her life. She said further, “I see them (family and career) as two separate things. I cannot say that I am not a celebrity at this point. That would be silly. Of course it is difficult, but it is difficult for any working mother. All moms face the challenge. I am lucky that I work extensively and then I am off. Some moms work all day and they get home late and have to be a mom.”

“The Bourne Legacy” has stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weiss , Edward Norton and some local talents, to include Joel Torre and Lou Veloso. It is distributed by United International Pictures thru Solar Entertainment Corporation. Showing at your favorite theaters on August 8, 2012

Movies2Watch: The Dictator

Verbally sparring during improvised scenes with Sacha Baron Cohen is a nerve wracking, unpredictable, exciting and, ultimately, a highly rewarding experience, says Anna Faris.

The talented actress admits that she didn’t quite know what to expect when she signed up to star alongside the man she regards as comedic ‘genius’ in The Dictator.

“I’d met Sacha a couple of times at parties, but it was so brief and I never really knew what to make of him... but then they asked me to come in and meet him for The Dictator,” she says. “The whole project was top secret and nobody really knew anything about it.

“I was terrified, really nervous, because he’s so good, he’s a genius, and you want to step up to the plate. And so we met and we ended up doing some of the scenes, all improvisation.

“The director gave us some loose scenarios and we started playing around. I think, about three months later, I actually got the role. And as you can imagine, I was very, very happy to be a part of it.”

On set too, Baron Cohen loves to improvise during scenes and he expects his fellow actors to do the same – riffing on the loose outlines for each scenario given in the script.

“We did a ton of improvisation,” she says. “There was a script and I would say that about 10 per cent of the time, we followed the script.

“And we had the writers behind the monitors, throwing out lines to us all of the time – different jokes, different ideas. And Sacha is a genius at improve, so the challenge as an actor when you are in those scenes is to stay on your toes.

“You have to step up to the plate and be able to play with them. It was really rewarding in that way.”

Award-winning writer/performer/filmmaker Sacha Baron Cohen has made a living out of culture clash. Whether as a British Jamaican-wannabe rapper slash chat show host, a somewhat naïve Kazakhstani television reporter or an out and relatively out there Austrian fashionista, Baron Cohen is in the business of finding humor and revelation in the often uncomfortable collision of vastly differing viewpoints and lifestyles. His stupendously and deservedly popular British television series made its wildfire way to the British movie screen. His subsequent and unstoppable transition to Hollywood was made in a film helmed by director Larry Charles, who again collaborated with Baron Cohen on his follow-up project (and now, once again, with The Dictator). Larry Charles comments, “When we did Brüno, we were shocked because we had thought that after Borat, we’d never get away with it again.“

Going in with the character of General Aladeen, however, was to be a different experience, and the ‘real’ world was to be replaced with a facsimile of a real, scripted world—however, just outside of the borders of this fictitious North African country, a real world waits…

Production of The Dictator began in Brooklyn, New York, in June of 2011. For the next three months the company visited four of New York’s five boroughs, setting down in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The task of finding the various locations fell to production designer Victor Kempster and location manager Kip Myers.

Says Myers, “This particular film had a lot of locations already written into the script: the United Nations, a zoo, Fifth Avenue. But the idea of creating Wadiya in New York presented more of a puzzle.”

And the tone of the film was very interesting, in that it was a funny political satire making use of all of his skills as a comedian,” continues production designer, Victor Kempster. “But it also had a nice story and a rather graceful way to handle the comedy of it. In a way, there is a little bit of an old-fashioned story, but so up-to-the-minute, a fish-out-of-water. You have this completely insane character, whose relationship with the real world makes no sense. He’s a complete narcissist and very bizarre. Then he’s brought to New York, and he winds up in a totally unfamiliar world.”

Paramount Pictures Presents A Four By Two Films / Berg Mandel Schaffer / Scott Rudin Production: Sacha Baron Cohen, Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley star in The Dictator. The music is by Erran Baron Cohen. The costume designer is Jeffrey Kurland.

“The Dictator” rated R by the MPAA is distributed locally by United International Pictures thru Solar Entertainment Corporation. Showing at your favorite theaters on July 25.

BIG MIRACLE: John Krasinski Plays "ADAM" in Ken Kwapis' Movie

John Krasinski, best known to American audiences as Jim Halpert on the hit television show The Office.  In Universal’ Pictures ‘Big Mircle he plays  Adam Carlson a television reporter who lived in the city at that time, but as an amalgam of small-town news people who served to tell the human elements of the story.

Even though signing on would mean multiple trips between the set of his television series and Anchorage, Krasinski believed it was worth it to work again with director Ken Kwapis.  The filmmaker had directed him in License to Wed, as well as many pivotal episodes of The Office.  “Ken is a phenomenal person,” commends Krasinski.  “He did the pilot of our show and many of the important episodes, including the first time I said ‘I love you’ to Pam.  He’s been there emotionally in a lot of stages of my life as an actor, as well as a person growing up in front of the camera.  He has that rare gift to be not only in tune with you but also with the whole movie.”
The producers were pleased to bring him onto the production as a character who would discover the story and be at the center of the story’s romantic triangle.
When Barrymore heard that Krasinski was a candidate to play Adam, she advocated bringing him onto Big Miracle.  “I remember calling Ken from the San Francisco airport,” she says.  “I was screaming down the hallway that I’d do anything to do this movie with him.  He was perfect for the role, as he is wholesome, funny and a good guy, just like Adam.  Even though the film is rooted in the environmental and political aspects of the whale rescue, there is also a love triangle that had to work among me.”

This is a big change for you from The Office.

Definitely. For a while there, Ken Kwapis (director) and I were doing both at the same time.  It was pretty wild. For the first month or so that we were shooting, I was going back and forth from The Office to this. It's awesome and it's so fantastic to have the opportunity to do a movie like this that has such a beautifully epic story.  It is moving. I was hooked on the idea of the true story.
When you're reading the script, there are moments where you say to yourself, “Oh, come on! This is so over the top and not real!” Then you find out it's exactly what happened. Especially the story of the Colonel getting married to Kelly. I'm just psyched to be up here. This is my first time being on a big, crazy location.

How are you dealing with the cold?

Pretty well. That's my Boston blood in me coming back. It got pretty diluted in LA. My brothers make fun of me when I go home to Boston and when it’s around 60 degrees I'm like, “Ooh... It's getting cold.” They think I'm completely ridiculous but it's finally coming back and I'm starting to get the feeling in my hands again.

Can you talk about your character?

I play Adam Carlson, a local news reporter. He’s been sent up here to Barrow, Alaska by the Anchorage news station that he works for to cover several different stories.  He would love to get back to a major news station elsewhere. Then he happens upon these whales that are trapped in the ice. Adam is the first person to cover the story and it's Adam's story that gets picked up by the national news. So, he's the reason everybody's here.  A lot of my scenes happen once the national news services come to Alaska. Adam is pretty overwhelmed and trying to get his foot in the door with anyone of these people that will listen to him.  For me, it was a whole thing about the media frenzy that went on.

Did you get to meet the real Adam Carlson?

Adam is actually a hybrid of a couple of different people. I didn't get a chance to meet one person because there wasn't really that one person. Drew Barrymore (plays Rachel) met the person whose character she portrayed, Cindy, the real Rachel. Cindy is a phenomenal lady and she gave Drew all this great material to work with.

How did you prepare?

Because my character is a news reporter, I basically looked at all the news footage that happened at the time. Having read the book, you see that it did become a huge media frenzy.  It's both incredible and a little ridiculous that so much media power can be focused on one place, at one time. It's also incredibly inspiring. It gives you the idea that we could potentially be doing more with where we're focusing the media these days. That's kind of where I was going with my character.

Can you talk about working with Drew Barrymore?

Drew is phenomenal. She has so much experience and is still so young. She's had so many experiences and learned so much about the business in such a short amount of time. Drew is such a pro. She knows exactly what she's doing. She is prepared and, on top of all that, is able to have fun. Off set, we get along great. She's fantastic and as the lead of the film, you couldn’t’ have anyone better. Her spirit as an actor and her deep belief in all her causes are huge to have on set. And the love story with Drew is really fun. Come on. It's Drew Barrymore.

Can you talk about your favorite scenes?

So far, one of my favorite scenes is the big emotional climax of the movie, when the whales start to move. When you read the script, you hope there's an emotional impact on screen. Those scenes are fun to shoot because you get to see the weight of the movie actually coming together. When you're doing a lot of scenes, and they're kind of scattered, it's hard to keep a barometer of what's going on in the movie. When we did that scene, you realize what kind of movie it is and it's a really good check in point.

How is it working with director Ken Kwapis?

I have worked with Ken on The Office.   He put me in LICENSE TO WED and in this film. I think he still to this day is one of the best directors I've ever worked with. He's incredible with actors and with grasping on to emotional strengths.

What do you make of the anima-tronic whales?

I was genuinely frightened when I first came to the set. When you first look at them, you get the sense that you're going to fall into a tank, like if you go to SeaWorld or the zoo. They're unbelievably realistic. The guys running them are unreal. They are so incredibly talented, designing these things and then the way they move them. It's like a video gamers dream come true. They have these huge joysticks. I'm jealous.
