BANAPPLE NorthEast Square: With NEW BANAPPLE HITS THIS TIME!

It's always a good thought that food is so staple at every family gathering. But on second thought, who says that one has to have a family gathering just to have that "familial" feel? I have that particular thought in mind after being invited to have a taste of BANAPPLE sweet and "homey" offering.

Not far from the busy shopping district of Greenhills is BANAPPLE NorthEastSquare Greenhills. Upon entering my "fave" dining place is that familiar relaxing aura. Entering Banapple is like a refuge within a busy shopping district. Inside the resto, you will be greeted by the warm smiles and greetings of their staff. I felt so relaxed and comfortable upon having my seat. But then I have to wait for my 3 other Lunch buddies during that day. Having to wait is not a problem for me since there's a lot of books and magazines to entertain me ( not to mention all the cakes smiling at me my seat, whoa! had to fight my cravings!)

Well the "homey and sumptious" story starts from down here....

GRANDMA CORN CHOWDER (P80)

This chowder was ordered by friend. This soup is a great way to start any meal since it will help
your tummy to be ready for the main course.

BANAPPLE has 3 new entrees:

BANAPPLE BEFF and SAUSAGE STEW (P195)

The flavors of meaty beef cubes and savory sausages come together in this aromatic stew. What made these meal more special is that it is glazed with buttered carrots.

Since I love trying out new things and food, I chose BANAPPLE BEEF and SAUSAGE STEW. At first look,this meal looks plain and a tummy filler for those who just want fill in their tummies. And at the end I was wrong. It became a favorite. The stew is just right when it comes to its saltiness. And for proof of its yumminess, I even ordered an extra rice, (Sorry diet is not priority at the moment!)

BACON-FRIED CHICKEN STEAKS w/MILKSHROOM GRAVY (P175)

Crisp chicken fillet smothered in a creamy milk and mushroom gravy, topped with yummy bacon pieces and corn relish.

BREADED FILLET of CREAM DORY w/ HONEY THYME MUSTARD SAUCE (P185)

Fresh fillets of velvety Dory fish blanketed in herb crust and drizzled with warm honey thyme mustard sauce and glazed carrots. This meal will surely be a hit for those who are into healthy eating.

HICKORY SMOKED BARBEQUED COUNTRY RIBS (185)

 Extra tender country ribs grilled in hickory smoke and glazed with their homemade hickory barbeque sauce with corn relish as well. This is one meal I actually would like to come back for at Banapple.

I actually ordered this salad since I AM A SALAD ADDICT! Luckily this salad made me even crave for it.

This is an all-time favorite salad made more scrumptious w/ pecan praline bits.

BANAPPLE'S HOUSE SALAD (P120)

Mixed greens with corn, cucumber and bell pepper bits, crumbled banana chips, honey-peanuts and shredded mozarella drizzled with balsamic-caesar dressing.

 I guarantee you guys, this smoothie is refreshing way to gulp down all those carbs after eating.

FUDGY BANANA (P105)

At BANAPPLE NORTHEASTSQUARE , I was amazed at how alot of people are into BANAPPLE . Even if the place is in the residential-type of location that you actually might have second thoughts of dining. But hey this new branch is frequented by a lot of office peeps. 

I had fun during my first visit at BANAPPLE. And I'm definitely coming back because their BANOFFIE PIE is always on my dreams but for it's gonna be at BANAPPLE Katipunan near Blue Ridge because I'm one stone's throw away from it.

 Thank you BANAPPLE for that yummy treat I sure took home a lot of yummy stories about your cakes at home and my family can't wait to visit too!. Until now I can't get over your pies and cakes....PROMISE ! I'LL BE BACK!

Watch This Battle how ADVIL LIQUIGEL won back against the PAIN MONSTERS

Just wanna share this video I came across with at a friend's blog. This video is "catchy" that is why I decided to share this video.

The story of the video started with the 4 ill-looking mascots/monsters. The monsters' names are Body Ache, Headache, Toothache, and Dysmenorrhea. These 4 monsters boasts spreading pain to everybody. Then came Mr. Tablet man, who presumed himself of the "hero" that will fight these 4 monsters of pain. But eventually as the skit goes on, Mr.Tablet man was defeated by the pain monsters though he has been here for years fighting pain. Mr.Tablet man's  powers were way too ordinary for the pain monsters.The pain monsters even told the spectators that they already had "leveled-up",making pain hard to combat. Then came the 3 acrobats who introduce themselves as "ADVIL LIQUI-FORCE". After their introducing themselves , the battle between the PAIN MONSTERS vs ADVIL LIQUIFORCE began. Upon watching, undeniably the PAIN MONSTERS are losers over the ADVIL LIQUIFORCE. Even though the 4 Pain Monsters regrouped to fight against Advil Liquiforce, they are no-match for the ADVIL LIQUIFORCE for ADVIL is fast in stopping the 4 pain monsters in targetting us because it is in Liquid-form through a gel. An it gets to the root of the pain thus making it stop the pain faster than any tablet. After the short skit, the mall-goers were given free samples of ADVIL LIQUIGEL to try how fast it can stop the pain we frequently experience from Headache, Toothache, Body ache, and Dysmenorrhea.

After watching this video, I decided to blog about this so I could share this with my readers and friends. Now that Advil Liquigel is here pain is just one pop in the mouth.

Now just wanna share with you my Facial +oil control mask experience at Flawless.

Actually this is just my second visit to a skin care clinic and I find the staffs so nice that the dermatologist was nice enough to comfort me that the pricking part is tolerable. OMG! This is a first as I really don't allow pricking. So here goes....1,2,3

 I had to lie on of the neat and clean beds for my treatment. The room was so pink all over! Even the music playing induces me to sleep, "yawn"....

After the usual cleansing part, here comes the relaxing part on the eyes. Don't know what they actually call that clear gel they put on my eyes but it was a bit cold,maybe it was for the sagging eyes!

 They even put thermal heat on hands and massage it afterwards. A plus for a facial treatment. That's what customers needed now, a value for their money!

My facialist said that they had to laser my face to smoothen it after pricking.

That's what I look like after put seaweed mask on face. Seaweed mask is good for the face because it helps lessen the oiliness of the face.

And after the treatment, this what I look like. Of course I don't expect to look beautiful in an instant. But what matters is the happy feeling I got after that very relaxing Facial+ plus seaweed mask. It reflects on the aura that I'm contented and happy!

Thank you Dra. for being so accommodating during my visit. I'll be coming back soon to take that Body scrub service to take the dead skin away from my back.

Basta Pinas Travel Portal launch: TRAVEL anyone???

With over 7000+ islands that the Philippines has, I wonder why most of our fellow "kababayans" chose to explore other countries. When here in our very own country, alot of  "virgin and untouched " places are present! If only I had the means to travel along with my family in tow, I would have done so. But as of now I am contented reading other people's travel wanders!

Just last March 2011, Bonamine in partnership with the Dept. of Tourism launch the " Basta Pinas" Travel advocacy to help encourage Filipinos to explore every corner of the country. And in line with that, just a few months after, Bonamine is back with its official "BASTA PINAS" Travel Web Portal. It is the newest one-stop-shop online site that contains and aggregates travel information thatw ill help travelers plan their next getaway or adventure. On the site, you can also read other people's stories and travel experiences they encountered along the way. Another exciting add-on on this site is the LIBRARY of EXPERIMENTS. On this particular part of the site , the reader may can have new and fresh ways of seeing their travel itineraries in a new perspective like taking a photo for every hundredth step, visiting old schools and etc.

At the launch they also invited 3 guest speakers to speak of their experiences related to travel:   Randy Urlanda, Panorama editor and author of Travel Philippines: A Guide to the Country’s Best Destinations; Joy Rojas, professional runner and the first woman to run across the Philippines; and Paolo Soler, known Filipino surfer and President of Philippine Surfing Academy.
