Last April 19, 2011,The First ever "guitar-glory" Guitar Shredding contest Finals was held at Capone's Makati. Colt 45 suported this contest by having it all over the Philippines and all the contestants just needed their guitar-slashing techniques and 11 colt 45 crowns to join.

Fourth from the left is the Top Shredder Patrick Cruz, and beside him in Blonde hair is Jan Clyde Polintan(1st runner-up),
Emman Saumillan (2nd runner-up) holding his trophy.

And after this contest's nation-wide run 5 Finalist made it to the Finals and these are Patrick Cruz,22 from Novaliches who emerged as the Top Shredder for this competition , Jan Clyde Polintan ,19 of Cainta, Rizal (1st Runner-up from Greater Manila), Emman Saumillan, 35 of Olongapo city (2nd-runner up reperesented Norther Luzon), Erwin Espares 23, La Carlota City (represented Visayas), Andre Alay, 32 of Cagayan de Oro (represented Mindanao).

Of course this competition was decided by notable judges from the Rock Music scene notable figures like Wally Gonzales of Juan dela Cruz band, Francis Reyes of NU107, Manuel Legarde of Wolfgang, Neil Gregorio of Warner Music Philippines, and Joey Dizon of Pulp Magazine.

The "Guitar-glorrific" event wont be as high-powered with these 3 bands performances:

Valley of the Chrome

 Switch

 Intolerant
Of course for some , some may wonder what is "Shredding" is all about.according to guitar pundit Francis Reyes " To shred is means to play the guitar at speeds generally credited to the equivalent of a hummingbird's wings or to point of sounding like a shredding machine.

Thank you Colt45 for the commemorative Pulp Summer Slam Colt45 bottle and "Lords of the Loud' Cd and the experince
that reminds me that being a mommy does not mean i cannot enjoy a bottle or two.
