Magnolia in Partnership the Dept. of Education Launches its Healthy Drinks line to Schools

I have two sons , the youngest is in kindergarten while the eldest is in first grade. I don't give money as "baon" to my kids. I usually prepare their snacks for school to make sure that what they're eating and drinking is clean and nutritious.

So when I got invited to by San Miguel (beverages dept.) for their presscon, It got me curious. Upon kearning the invite that Magnolia fruit drinks is partnering with Dep-ed for their advocacy program that will run for an un- accounted period of time, I said to myself that I gottta hear and see what they are advocating. During the presscon , I was more than  happy and privileged that they are targetting public schools to be apart of their program. They said that in aid of Magnolia's partnership with Dept. Ed, Magnloia will be giving away books to kids all over the metro and near provinces
For his part, Magnolia Health Beverage’s top executive Bernard Marquez thanked the Department for the partnership.  “We’re glad to be part of the curriculum that promotes health and wellness among children in our school system as our way of giving back to the community.  There are a lot of advocacies and programs on healthy food choices,” he remarked.  “And we think it’s already time we also advocate healthy drink choices such as juices and teas that are rich in nutrients and minerals essential for a growing child because drink is as important as food.”

GNTV + SAN MARINO Corned Tuna : SARAP at HOME with FRIENDS in its 4th SEASON !

Last Oct. 18, 2011 at Discovery Suites Tower , I was among the bloggers and several members of the press  were able to grace the SARAP at HOME with Friends 4th Season Presscon. As a budding food lover, I have been watching this show even from its first season, So I got more excited when they included more t.v personalities in the show.

Yesterday was a night of food, fun and surprises. Sam Oh together with the added tv stars like Fabio Ide, Ramon Bautista and Jackie Rice were also there to grace the event. During the presscon there was also a cooking demo where in the guests can also participate because in each table, the ingredients were also made available. But because San Marino Corned Tuna is so delicious, we started to eat it before the demo. The San Marino Corn Tuna alone is so nutritious that I can eat it along with veggies.

What to look for in the show for its "4th Season"?
  • This season the show will be giving it a bit of sitcom approach while still highlighting the many recipes that the viewers can do with San Marino products.

Well I've been watching the show since Day1 and still looking forward to seeing the shows for more yummy and "tuna-rrific" recipes. 

And there's no more excuse for us to miss each episode because the show will be shown 3x a day!

Lately this year, I have always out of the house to attend to events or just to chill with family and friends. Was there a time when you had to go over your collection of bags just to make sure the bag fits your outfit? Me? Noo! I just have one bag that now fits all my requirements.

For me to like a bag, it has to be spacious enough! I like all my "kikay" and very important documents always in one bag. You'll never know when will they become handy! Next, I sometimes bring my laptop so I need a bag that fits my laptop and all the above-mentioned thingies! Before it was problem if all the things I need will  fit it one bag. But now I can say that I have one pair of my favorite shoe, It's now the same thing with this bag that I will be showing you.

A Spooktacular Halloween at Music Museum

Hey Moms and Dads out there, I have one Halloween event for you to look out for! I know you guys will be excited with these "spooktacular"  event! So are we all waiting for let's all troop to Promenade Greenhills!

A spooky and fun Halloween getaway for kids and kids-at-heart is in store at Music Museum’s Halloween Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 29 at the Promenade Foodcourt.

With a superhero-themed Halloween special, kids aged 1-12 are welcome to participate in this exciting Halloween treat. (But you can wear any Halloween costume or look that you like.)

Registration starts at 12:30PM at the Promenade Foodcourt. The Trick or Treat around MMGI stores will start at 1PM. Games and contests will follow after the Trick or Treat at 4PM.

Last Oct 17,2011 was marked as the World Bread Day  and to make it more remarkable here in the Philippines Gardenia Bakeries Philippines Inc (GBPI), makers of Gardenia bread which is known for its good taste, freshness, softness, oven-baked aroma and nutritional value, launch its "HAPPY BREAD DAY" together with the kids from Nayon ng Kabataan of the Dept. of Social Welfare and Development, celebrated and also in partnership with K.I.D.S ( Kabataan inyong Dapat Suportahan).

Gardenia celebrated "Happy Bread Day" to share the Philisophy behind why "World Bread Day" is celebrated. it is celebrated to teach us that the goodness of bread should be shared. 

Along with this momentous event, gardenia also launched "G-LOCK COLLAGE". It is a unique and creative idea conceptualized by Gardenia to expand it CSR (Corporate social responsibility) efforts in the community.

The G-LOCK COLLAGE will form a "collage" composed of of Gardenia's G-lock brad tags . the Collage will be equivalent to more than 3,000G-LOCK TAGS. One G-lock donated is equal to one bread loaf donated to to charities it supports. 

After the unveiling of this "G-LOCK COLLAGE", media and bloggers like me were able to tour the famous bread plant. And I was thankful to Gardenia for allowing me to bring my son along with me. My son had the chance to see the 6K Plant of Gardenia . And with the way I saw awe in his face I'm sure he's marveled at how all those breads were made in an hour only.

PHILIPPINE SME and Franchise Expo 2011: Are You ready?

I have been always "business" minded ever since my elementary days. I studied in a private school in Q.C wherein all of my classmates clan are all from the upper class. But this never became hindrance for me to continue my selling antics to them. With the encouragement I got from my mom, I got to sell headbands, trinkets to yemas to my rich classmates.Yes, imagine a shameless elementary grade school kid that I was. All that ever stuck in my mind that time is that I enjoy earning money on my own (though it was just a small amount). Being an early entrepreneur made me become wiser even now that I was a mom now.

Now that I have my own family of course the dream to have my own business is still there. But since there are now more growing businesses, that would be a task as well. So I guess to eliminate that one step towards to our success in the business field, everyone most especially to those people who are really just starting out or must have started out their businesses and want to broaden their horizons and expand their network , this next big event is just for you.

From Oct.27-29, 2011 at the PICC Forum of PICC , Roxas Blvd, Manila , the event will be dubbed as PHILIPPINED SME and FRANCHISE EXPO 2011.

At the event a large number of franchise exhibitors will be there for us to see what are their businesses. And  maybe if you are luckier , you may take part and hear the talks that guest speakers has to say about the success of Franchising Small and Medium Enterprises. And most exciting part of the event is that Mr. Armando "Butz" Bartolome, who also headed the Franchise Institute of the Philippines (FIP) and also known as the "Franchise Guru" behind well-known SME businesses like Mang Inasal, Lay Bare Waxing Salon,Fiorgelato, Potato Corner, Chicharific!!!, Freska Ilonggo Seafood &Inasal, Julie's Bakeshop, Baliwag Lechon Manok, and etc.

These 3-day event will become a learning venue for all those people who aspire to have their own business or franchise one. And there's more , on the the event itself there will be great deal of free services , workshops and free seminars from the "Franchise Guru" himself. This event also promises to increase the exposure of SME products in domestic and foreign markets.

Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo Now Opened at Granada St. SanJuan

I have always been a pizza-eater but nonetheless if it's From Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo, I am more than excited! Last Oct. 15, 2011, me and some fellow Foodies were invited to the Grand opening of the newest branch of Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo in Granada St. San Juan. This branch is situated in Granada St., where there is long strip of Townhouses. So if ever you're not familiar with area, just as long you will be seeing Granada St. and and the long rows of townhouses,then you are in the right place

So far this is the 9th branch of Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo available in the metro.

By the way for this branch they will be serving various drinks like Calamansi juice, shakes and ice cream too! This branch is the biggest also because it has small comfy sofa inside where diners can read a magazine/newspaper or two while waiting for their favorite pizza.


Last Oct 13, 2011, I went to the Launch of RESTAURANT FESTIVAL 2011 of Appetite Magazine in partnership with Shangrila Malls. And as newbie foodie, I was so excited . This different from all the taste test I've ever been to because it was like traveling all over the the world, it has restaurants that has menus that originated from all over the globe. 

Luckily it was also Appetite Magazine's seventh year in the business. Appetite has been here all these years to inspire us through their love for food. I want to commend all the staff of these magazine, organizers and its partner restaurants for putting up a big event like these. There are 13 participating restaurants in these festival.

SM DEPT. STORE: "BiG" Winners in the SM DEpt. Store PLUS SIZE Model Search!

Last, Oct 12, 2011 at The Ayala Heritage Library The Reading Room, The SM DEPARTMENT STORE PLUS SIZE MODEL SEARCH together with its TOP 8 was unveiled. The model search was launched to help them look for a model who will fit and epitomized what a real full-figured should really be. 

The search culminated with eight lovely finalists and one of them will emerge as the PLUS SIZE MODEL SEARCH winner. And to make the search more exciting, the prizes to be given away is a "Trip for two to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Macau with a pocket money, Php 20,000 worth of SM gift certificates and a six months modeling contract and gift packs from Dove and Etude house. The first 2 runners-ups will get php 10,000 worth of SM gift certificates and gift packs from Dove. 

Before the unveiling, the girls were treated to a shopping day and make-over c/o of Etude house.
