BayView Park Hotel Manila: Celebrating Filipino Food fare through Kulinarya Kalayaan Food Festival !

Hi ! Yes I know!, how could I not resist eating when I 'm gaining weight lately? I believe that you only live ONCE therefore live as if there's no tomorrow.

Yesterday, I was invited by BayView Park Hotel for lunch. I'm so flattered that I didn't mind going the extra mile to travel all the way from Quezon City to Roxas Blvd.

BayView Park Hotel being established for almost 75years and they are one of the longest-enduring, sought after destinations for both business and leisure travelers in Manila. BayView Park Hotel is freshly renovated , "personalized", boutique hotel.

BayView Park Hotel Manila has 283 Rooms (5 executive Suites, 30 Deluxe Rooms, and 243 Superior Rooms). You can also have access to their amenities (Pool Deck swimming Pool, Modern Gym Fitness, Internet Cafe).

They invited us to have a taste of their very own version "Filipino" food version. It is dubbed as "Kulinarya Kalayaan Food Festival" It is a month -long food event that started from May 28, 2012 and culminate on June 31, 2012. The festivities will showcase Philippine Food, Arts and Crafts at the Lobby Coffee Shop of  BayView Hotel.

For this food festival they will be featuring our very delectable Filipino Cuisine.

The Buffet area was adorned with these "bilaos" to give that Filipiniana feel. The decorations helped alot in giving that festive vibe.

The buffet that day consists of Kare-Kare, Stuffed Pusit, Pancit Canton, Ginataan Kalabasa at Sitaw.

Wait there's more, a buffet is never complete without an array of our favorite Filipino desserts.

The dessert Buffet

Vegetable Lumpia

 Sapin-Sapin

Kutsinta

Halo-Halo
Who could resist their Halo-Halo when you you can make your own version and topped it with generous amounts of Ube or Leche Flan.

The desert bar of the buffet was my favorite.Ii'm known to be a "dessert" person. I couldn't help but give-out a big sigh when I saw the Sapin-Sapin! I missed these desserts. I remember I used to wait in the afternoon juts right at our porch just to wait for the lady that sells it every afternoon.

The Kulinarya Kalayaan Food Festival is also participated by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines.

The Buffet is open from Monday-Friday (11am-2pm) and priced at Php450/person. Juts a tip, when you visit BayView Park Hotel Manila, travel a bit early you won't be a hassle when looking for a seat at their Buffet Lounge. buffet price is affordable especially for those who want to treat their family, or even business partners( meetings).

The food festival was a success that it's full during lunchtime!

The Kulinarya Kalayaan Food Festival will have different food menu every week so be sure to visit BayView Park Hotel every week to get a taste of the different Filipino Food Fare!

Food trips are better if you are with friends! There'll be more people to remind you to eat less, lol!

I'll be coming back for sure so wait for my next post about next round of visit. Till then....Ciao!
