Lent is near and I believe as a Filipino born and raised as
a Catholic, we should go on with our traditions. When I was a kid we never go
out unless we have to attend Good Friday mass. But of course we now live in a
fast-paced way of life. Things kind of change a bit. But one thing that our
family never fail to do when it’s lent is we don’t eat meat during those days.
But I guess meat-less
won’t be a problem for us this Lenten season because our family’s favorite
chicken restaurant has their new meat-less fare for Lent.
MAX’S RESTAURANT has new 3 infusing classic Filipino flavors
to offer aside from their mouth-watering chicken :
MAX’S SIZZLING SEAFOOD in HONEY BAGOONG SAUCE
MAX’S SIZZLING SEAFOOD in HONEY BAGOONG SAUCE
It is a harmony of breaded cream dory, shrimps, and squid
rings that are deep-fried until light, golden brown, sprinkled with julienned
red bell peppers and chopped spring onions, and splashed with a special sauce
that brings together sweet honey and piquant bagoong.
After tasting it, I ‘m looking for that bagoong “eww” smell,
since personally do not eat bagoong. But I was surprised that it didn’t have
that smell that bagoong is famous for. And for starters, I liked because of the
sweet taste that Honey has infused with the food.
MAX’S ADOBONG KANGKONG with STUFFED TOFU
Is an inventive and mouth-watering twist to the
quintessential adobo. It has fresh Kangkong leaves, shiitake and buttn
mushrooms drizzled in a sweet adobo sauce stuffed in deep-fried tofu blocks. I
love everything with Soya, so this one won my heart upon first bite. And I
liked the idea that it has huge blocks of Tofu. This alone can be a good match
with rice. Yum-yum!
This new dish is a perfect dish for the very young diners
and self-confessed meat-lovers . Crisp Cauliflowers are dipped in a special
batter, deep fried and tossed in a special sauce. Fun and vibrant colors of
finely sliced carrots and spring onions also brightened up the plate. The
crunchiness will make diners forget that they are actually eating cauliflowers.
MAX’S RESTAURANT indeed prepared these new dishes for Lent
but still with the homegrown classic taste of that Filipinos grown up with.
It's amazing for me to have a web page, which is good in support of my experience. thanks admin
