Richard Poon Launches His New Album "Legends" under Universal Records

Richard Poon who is known to perform Big Band tunes has a new and fresh sound singing pop tunes.

Richard joins the elite roster of Universal Records artists- Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Noel Cabangon, Christian Bautista, Gloc-9, Jay-R, Sam Concepcion, Parokya ni Edgar, Sponge Cola, Callalily, Kamikazee and among others.

In legends, Richard traces his pop roots by singing some of the biggest pop artists in the international music industry -classics by Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, Barry Manilow, among others.

The launch was held at one of Makati's "posh" boutique-hotel, Hotel Celeste. Hotel Celeste also hosted for Richard Poon's album photo-shoot. This boutique hotel boosts of posh furnitures with a modern fare, making it perfect for a gentleman and jazz-crooner, Richard Poon.

This album is very refreshing for a jazz-singer like him who just used "to drive and fetch" her sister to her gigs at STRUMM'S Makati (whom he swears is the better performer between the two of them). Before becoming a "Big Band" crooner, who would have thought that he formerly cooks for their restaurant, Mr.Poon? Yup, Richard Poon does not only know how to sing his way to your heart but also knows his way to one's tummy.

This "crooner" is no biggie when it comes to food, her Road Manager Ms.Caress Caballero swears that Richard Poon is a certified "jologs" and loves to eat street food like "FishBalls".
